CYCLONE® products provide an exceptional level of protection for penetrations on projects located in areas susceptible to high-wind events. These specially designed products are perfectly suited for safe rooms/storm shelters.
CYCLONE® products provide protection for various roof and wall penetrations, such as pipes, conduits, gas lines, electrical wiring, fresh air or forced air louvers, and ducts.
A leading third-party tested roof and wall penetration protection solution for safe rooms/storm shelters, we meet FEMA P-361 and ICC 500-2014 for up to 250mph winds, which includes Missile Impact Testing and labeling. We also meet the Solar Reflectance Index (SR) of 88.2.
CYCLONE® products feature two-point deflection to meet ICC's impact criteria of Section 305.1 in the Standard for Design and Construction of Storm Shelters, which requires debris particles to impact at least two surfaces before reaching the protected occupant area.
We constantly talk to architects, engineers, and contractors about their most pressing penetration issues in high wind areas and then transform them into the most innovative, highly technical solutions.
Our team is dedicated to supporting you throughout the entire process, from early specification to final installation. We stand behind our CYCLONE® products with a 10-year insured waranty.

FAQs
If you’re following the 2018 IBC or an earlier version, utilize the ICC 2014 SAFE ROOM/STORM SHELTER code. For projects under the 2021 IBC Code, use the ICC 2020 code for safe rooms. These codes provide guidelines for constructing safe rooms and storm shelters to ensure occupant safety during severe weather. To ensure compliance, contact your local building code officials for information.
The size options for manufacturing CYCLONE® products vary depending on the specific product. We offer a range of sizes that have been thoroughly tested and meet our quality standards. The sizes must be within the range of the smallest and largest tested options to ensure compliance. We can provide guidance and assistance in choosing the appropriate size for your specific requirements.
The opening of the CYCLONE® Wall Shroud needs to be pointed downward when installed on the exterior of the building. The CYCLONE® Wall Shroud CAN be installed 360 degrees when installed on the interior of the building (or under the deck). Ensuring an appropriate height is crucial to effectively cover for two-point deflection.
Absolutely! Both the CYCLONE® Vent Through Roof (CVTR) and CYCLONE® Roof Drain (CRD) are designed to be compatible with precast and poured-in-place applications. However, it is crucial to follow the specific instructions provided to ensure correct installation and optimal performance in these applications.
